Hey, hi!

I've finally registered. I might have too much time at hand, but on the other hand this could be a good choice to face the occasional fit of insomnia. I'm Christine from Germany and I'm, oh my, 44 (whenever that happened?) I'm no Fryaholic, but he seems to be a nice person.
I have read 'Moab is my washpot' and almost finished 'The liar', both quite entertaining. I had a few laughs, but I'm pretty sure I missed even more, because, unfortunately, I'm no native speaker and I couldn't always follow, being only equipped with long, loooong ago school English. SO, I'm actually killing to birds with one stone here.
I'm looking forward to whatever comes this way. I apologise for all the mistakes I've made and will make and wish you all a good time.

Ah, one more thing, do I have to keep that password? I will never ever be able to memorize it.

Hi Christine, welcome to the forum. Your English is excellent. I multi-lingual people. Anyway, to answer your question, no you don't have to keep that password. On Forum Index page on the right hand side near the top is a box that says Forum, Search, Profile, etc. Click on the Profile link and it will take you to your profile page, which really doesn't tell you anything, lol. But next to your name is an edit link. Hit that and it will take you to a page where you can edit your information, near the bottom of that page is an area to change your password. Good luck, and I hope you enjoy exploring the forums.

Hi ginj,
thanks for your prompt reply. The password has been changed, so there won't be spent endless time with searching for the slip of paper . It's a mystery really how things can vanish on such a limited space that is my desktop. It does have multiple layers, but I don't have to turn my head to look from one end to the other and yet precious time is wasted repeatedly

I'm unhappy with 'won't be spent' how about will not have been ... hmm
better to organize the desktop

you multi-lingual? which languages do you speak? I wish I could. Also had French at school, but really failed there and never tried to learn it again.

Oops, no I noticed I missed a word that. That should have said I admire multi-lingual people. I have always envied people who can speak more than one language.

Hullo. Already posted some things, only just found this xD

Names Kelly, student, loves herpetofauna ;), bit of a writer. Ehhmm... I'm the type of girl that will sing (and possibly dance) in the street if I'm happy enough. Hell, even if I'm not. I like most music though favour alternative/rock/metal etc but I'm not all too scary, I swear. I spend most of my time at present doing homework and applying to Uni, playing on my 360 or reading.
I'm nice I promise (Y)

A Kiss from NaughtyNepthys.

Hullo NaughtyNepthys!

And hullo everyone else!

I was going to defy tradition by posting in other threads before writing my introduction, but that seemed like a pretty weak way to assert myself. I then considered entirely boycotting the introductions thread in favour of a far more prevalent entry - a post in an obscure thread, maybe even starting one myself... a little risque, non? But then I figured that that was the traditional way to "defy tradition", as it were. So I've come to the conclusion that the best way to assert myself and my point of difference was to go straight to the introductions. See what I did there?

...

Pretty much, I'm an anarchistic conformer. Who is very good at appearing weird in introductions.

So, hello everyone. I hope to bring to you a little drought and flooding rain from the Land Down Under from which I hail. I grew up in the country with an English mother who has had the whole family watching British comedy from the time...well, from a very young age. And so my everlastingly wonderful bond with a Mr Fry began, and continued on...everlastingly, I suppose would be the best word.

I also love theatre, music, films, literature and musicals and aspire to be an actor one day. Though of course never surpassing Mr Fry's standards. I have also suspended disbelief long enough to be able to plant the idea in my mind of being a writer. However, despite bursts of creativity facilitated by the confused mess that is my brain, due to my incredibly over-developed skill in procrastination I fear that this will never be acheived.

As it is, writing this ridiculously long introduction is allowing me to put off writing an essay.

And so I say, as I like to on these occasions, those six refreshing words that unlock the door to sophisticated evening habits. I say: Please Mr Music, will you play?

Hand in hand we can marvel together at the strangeness of the human condition.
- Stephen

Bianca: Why did you not tell me you were so strong?
Simone: Why did you not tell me you were beautiful?

Hi, I was wondering, does anyone know how to get a message to Stephen at all? I have a new piece of technology that I'd like him to take a look at and perhaps review.

Thanks,
Kev.

Hi there!

I’m Mercy... I’ve visited before, introduced myself and then failed to post anything else for years! I suppose I worry about typing something daft and embarrassing myself. But I thought I’d try again.

I’m a GFW (Gay White Female) with a GSOH (Good Sense of Humour), LI (Lactose Intolerant), SGBQF (Slightly Gangly But Quite Friendly) and a RSF (Reluctant Star Trek Fan). I used to be a CD (Cross Dresser – not a Compact Disc) but my Mum wasn’t having any of it.

I work at a bingo hall. I have to wear a uniform that makes me look like a character on Star Trek and polish fruit machines with a rainbow-coloured feather duster.

I keep trying dating websites and getting rejected from them because they think the above profile is too flippant. I can’t find a partner in real life because I’m paralysed with fear at the thought of talking to an attractive woman. So I’m on my own. I dust my fruit machines, watch late-night showings of RKO horror films on TV and collect Doris day posters.

And I think Stephen Fry is fantastic

I feel I can really identify with him, because in The Fry Chronicles he wrote about his one-time love of Scot’s Porridge Oats, and for a year when I lived in Norwich I ate nothing else. My flatmate became so concerned about the lack of variety in my diet that he went out and bought me some Super Porridge that had seeds and raisins and cranberries in it so that I wouldn’t get scurvy.

Hi, Mercy! I hope you stick around this time, and don't worry about writing anything "daft." This is a very welcoming place. And yes, Stephen Fry is fantastic.
