I woke up on sunday morning in West Norfolk, hiding from London and all lifes demands there is no better place than a place with no hills, no mountains for me to climb to help my mind unwind. I woke up and very shorty wrote this poem, a poem that has been in the back of my head behind much chaos....here it is....

Dreams I have plenty, circling my head
One day I will catch one
In my head what is written will be read
Dreams I will follow, they tempt me away
From all my sorrow, endure such I never may
Dreams we all have them, believe them some few
People laugh when they face theirs, dismiss them and coe
What nonsense a Dream is, what folly and shame
That some will never try even to catch
A Dream or two...a word I can name
Dispair, discouraged, caught in lifes traps
This I will never be, such a person never match
Dreams I live for them, and they live for me
A smile on the face of an old lady
One day I will reach one, one day all will see
My hand far stretching high for to grasp
Another dream, because pursuit of dreams
Is a pursuit of everlast

Following a dream is never folly, as you aptly point out.

I liked it McNaughty. I never burnt any poems but I have thrown a fair amount away for reasons that, at the time, made complete sense.

Really? Wow.

I really liked it too!

It is a positive work that tells you to keep going with your dreams whatever! I'm going to get my piano out!!

I have a cunning plan!

Splendid poem, moving and suggestive. Made my mind spin and twist.
