QI - House and Home. The statement re the ecological footprint of owning pets, specifically dogs, may be true but the logic of the argument is that humans not only become vegetarian but also reduce their population. If you've got more than two children and your not a vegetarian you're destroying the planet!!

I agree. And as no human has a zero carbon footprint, the best we can do is minimize our impact on the environment.

Perhaps robynthehode, there are one or two vegetarian non-car-owning poochless people like myself that help counter-balance your (presumed) excesses
