I can't afford to buy any software, so is there anywhere I can download something that wil let me cut clips from things and add music easily, without damaging the original files?
Thanks, if it goes well I might try and do a Fry one.

Hello, I was thinking of putting a video together, a sort of tribute thing like you see people do on Youtube, made of clips of shows I've downloaded set to music from my Media Player list (I don't have a camera yet).

Windows Movie Maker....or if you're blessed with a Mac, iMovie.

Hello
I had a go with Movie Maker, but it keeps shutting itself down when I try to import a film file...that's if I can even import a file in the first place, as it takes over half an hour just to upload one! Are there any others I could try? |

I create my youtube clips with "Nero start smart". I guess you may find the download (or perhaps some other) here:

Try download.com and search for movie/avi editors. WMM sucks, in my experience... I consistently recommend Ulead Video Studio and you might eb able to find a cheapish copy of an older version online - failing that download.com has a number on free and free to try licenses.

I need lessons/freeware tips in this too as I want to do something with Doctor Who clips from my DVD collection. Don't really want to add music over the top, though I might do later.

Hi, I clicked on the link for Nero, and loads of things came up! Which one should I pick?
I'll have a look at Ulead too. |
