There's a book to put a crack in anyone's rose-tinted glasses.

"Your room...it's CLEAN!!!"
"I prayed to God...and...it happened...but...where's my million dollars and horse!? Damn it!"

I'm in trouble with the library so now I'm reading nothing :'(

I guess reading the running list of books mentioned here kind of counts....

Really? Wow.

The Inimitable Jeeves - P. G. Wodehouse.
Just another wonderful thing Stephen is to blame for: My discovery of Jeeves. The series are amazing, but the books are just... double amazement!

Marjorie may've won the war, but she hasn't won the battle. / Dammit John, you're up to something! I've seen that look before. / You're damn right, I'm up to something. / Dammit! / What? / What are you up to? / Something. I'm up to something.

Is it just me or are the Jeeves audiobooks read by Richard Briers?

I'm reading (almost finished!) Hotel Babylon right now. It was laying around for about two years until I finally decided to read it. Good read, but is it really based on real-life events? [/url]

That is similarly titled to a book I read once called 'Breakfast in Babylon'.

Really? Wow.

I just got my hands on The Strain - Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. So far I am hooked on it. Del Toro really has some funky imagination going on.

Anybody else read the book?

Started The Catcher In the Rye last night as I'd left my Nancy Mitford book downstairs (I'm reading The Blessing now, which is the last one in it, really good. Going to get some more of her work).

Has anybody read a book called The Long Walk? It's by Stephen King but was published under the name Richard Bachman, it's a good book. Quite a scary one though. I'm going through that, and Moab is my Washpot at the moment...
