Across Paris and other short stories by Marcel Ayme. Very witty!

The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett. Liked it.

Slammerkin by Emma Donoghue. Slow at some points, but I found it rather absorbing nonetheless!

A 17 year old girl from Hampshire with an unhealthy obsession for many things, including the irritatingly unavailable Mr Fry. Will most certainly attempt to kidnap him in the future and force him to marry me.

I apologize in advance, Stephen. ;)

Hi
Just finished reading Alchemist by paulo coelho.. It is amazing the pace with which it moves. I really like his this narration. But his Brida was tough for me.:D.... It is good to have these types of books than the motivational ones.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austin and Seth Grahame-Smith. Great twist on a classic that I would never have thought possible if I hadn't just read it. Worth a read (Y).

A Kiss from NaughtyNepthys.

Monstrous Regiment by Terry Pratchett. In my opinion one of the best Discworld novels.

Impelled to try an epigram,
I never seek to take the credit;
We all assume that Oscar said it.

I'm slowly working my way through the list on Good Non Fiction Books.com
The last one I read was Difficult Conversations by Anne Dickson. I found it really helpful because it had a lot of examples, and there were examples for all different kinds of environments.

"The Gun Seller". Loved, loved, LOVED getting such an unusually close look into the head of the more mysterious half of ABOFAL!
I knew Hugh was worried about being overshadowed by Stephen's brains and use of long words, so I worried for him when I started reading (because my own brutal sense of embarrassment isn't enough apparently). But he has nothing to worry about as far as I can tell. I can see what Stephen means when he calls him a wise man.
And I miss him like the dickens, now that fucking "House" has cheerfully crossed the lines into soap territory, like it has crossed all other lines of good taste it ever encountered, and is therefore officially going on forever like The Football in David Mitchells cute sketch */whine*.
