generally, though of course not wanting to be restricted by it, i'd definately say i'm into...
neue deutsche welle, 1980s synth-pop, sophistipop, new wave...most things dark and electronic or flawless 1980s italo-dance/pop! depeche mode are my all time favorites... but at the minute i'm listening to alot of... alphaville front 242 david sylvian tones on tail moskwa tv falco liaisons dangereuses nik kershaw blancmange japan fad gadget |

I absolutely adore:
They Might Be Giants A mix of Rock, 80s fun and some good old funk! Most famous for a song released in 1990 "Birdhouse in Your Soul". Polysics! Japanese Techno! They sing in a mix of Japanese, Broken English and Gibberish. Would highly recommend "New Wave Jacket" Oingo Boingo Band from the 80s, fronted by Danny Elfman, famous for his work with Director Tim Burton. Fun from the era, when known it's normally for "Little Girls". |

I thought it would be a good thing to introduce you all to Karen Dalton. A huge talent and a damaged human being. She may still be "out there", but nobody knows, she was last seen as a sort of bag lady in the 70s. But if you dig out her stuff, you'll see what I mean about the talent.

Generally speaking,I listen to stuff from the 60s,though this isnt a hard rule.
From Blues,Jazz,Soul to The Beatles and alot of the usual suspects. The only music I listen to from today is Paul Weller. |

I just got Sonic Youth's latest album, and it's awesome!
Anyone who likes the guitar oriented experimental sounds, should get it. I've always had a problem associating a specific genre for bands like sonic youth and mogwai. |
