Are any of you folks into the Winter Olympics?
I've been watching the qualifiers and worlds.
Ski jumping - Simon Amman leading the world cup
Alpine skiing ( rocks! ) - Didier Cuche, the old man of the circuit at 35, seems to be the dude to beat as well as a couple of Canadians...frig Bodie Miller..he's a dark horse
Womens Alpine Skiing - America's Lindsey Lohan, hands down..she's just killing it
4 man bobsled - sorry kids, our mens American team is gonna STOMP you
short track speed skating - Apollo Anton Ono..or, as I like to call him Apollo the Beautiful
womens luge or skeleton, i forget which - American
snowboard superpipe - the americans got it in the bag, sorry
snowboarder cross - i think there's a French guy that might pull that medal
how about the rest of you lazy louts? any of you supporting your country's athletes?
What I love of the footage I've seen, mostly places in Italy, Austria, and Germany is the crowds showing up to watch and cheer for their country's male and female athletes, waving flags and blowing horns...quite a show of support and I adore that...these athletes train harder in a day than most wannabe's do in a month...they sacrifice SO much, work so hard, compete and travel and all under immense pressure...and one bad injury, one small mistake, could shatter their dreams to represent their country in the Olympics...so...much....DRAMA!! I love it...
so, i hope there's at least ONE UK citizen here aware of their athletes, just one German member aware of theirs as well, and on and on...support them, cheer them, and go bezerk if your countryman or woman takes that beautiful Gold Medal!!

Erm...I didn't realize Lindsey Lohan was on the Olympic team?

I'm definitely going to try to watch skating, and I'll wave the American flag all the way, but first... SUPERBOWLLL! 
Open to suggestions as to what my sig should consist of...

GOOO Team Canada!!! I will be there in person watching a round of curling and a round of women's short track speed skating!! I hope we do great in everything, but of course, nothing really matters if we don't win HOCKEY! These are the most important games for Canada EVER. (Well, since the last olympic games and until the next ones). Our lucky loonie did us well in Salt Lake, so hopefully we'll rock this year too!!
AND, university students here get a two week Olympic reading break, so... I'm almost more excited about that than anything else.

OK, so I'm not recalling all the names too well...BUTT! That doesn't deter my excitement for a moment. I guess if the Devil's in the details, the Devil's got me by the...uh...
I'm not Canadian, though I sometimes wish I were, but am excited you guys got the Olympics in Vancouver. I know it will be exciting and I think your Rockies are some of the most stunning mountains I've ever seen. Monumentally beautiful!
Maybe that skiier's name is Jenn...no, maybe Linsey but not Lohan..wait...it's uh...dammit! Whatever, she's the fastest woman on the downhill circuit and took the Worlds. My not recalling her name totally takes nothing away from *her* Universal Sports has had some really terrific coverage/footage of these awesome sports and probably has clips on their website.
I'm not watching the superbowl out of protest for the Vikings losing. I'm still crying myself to sleep at night over that one.

For winter olympics, the only sport I actually care about results are for Ice Hockey. I do like to watch the other ones, just to keep tabs...
