Sigh. In other news. Canada lost to the US and about 98.6% of Canadians are feeling like shit.

Really? That's too bad, I'd totally give you guys that medal because you'd actually appreciate it. I kind of heard we had a hockey game tonight, but honestly, no one watched it here.

go johnny! go johnny!

hope he has a good night

I don't know much about skating, but I'm pissed at how low he placed. I ended up watching his videos for like an hour, and he's my new favorite!

That's what I hate the most. I mean, its obvious there ARE a lot of Americans who watch hockey, but I think the majority don't care, or have no idea what it means to us. And besides, NBC didn't even air the hockey game.

And do you mean you're pissed at how low Johnny Weir placed at the exhibition? You realize he won gold in Vancouver right?

I watched the hockey game with friends, obviously it depends on who you talk to

Sorry, but like Tobias I also watched that incredible game. And the win is all over the news.

I don't think it's fair to assume that because there are people in the states who do not watch hockey, that by default that means no one cares. Plenty of Americans are excited by this win.

Sorry Canada, but your team lost and them's the breaks. There has to be a winner and a loser and this time your ticket just came up is all. But please do not suggest that our team and their fans did not, do not, or will not 'appreciate' this victory simply because we don't have as many fans of hockey here as you do there.

BTW, congrats to Bodi Miller for focusing and getting all three types of medals!! Many might be saying,"It's about time" and in regards to the Olympics, that's true. BUT, Bodi is one of the winningest skiiers in American history - he just hadn't taken an Olympic gold medal till now. It's not that I like him one way or the other, but his skiing talent can't be argued about anymore. In fact, American athletes have done exceptionally well in all the disciplines of skiing.

Really? Wow.

Weir was great but I thought he placed 6th, are you sure you don't mean Evan Lysacek?

Yes your right. Johnny weir did not get first.

I know nitro. That was unfair of me to say. I was just dissapointed and hearing boiler say the majority of Americans didn't care about anything hockey related just fueled my anger.

I'll just sulk away in embarrassment now...

I guess it's not that we (myself and everyone I know) don't care about hockey, it's that we care about other sports more. We'd go insane without our basketball (and to a lesser degree, football and baseball)!

That's right boiler. And the people I know could give a rats backside about b-ball, preferring football, baseball, and yes, even hockey lol And others I know care more about surfing than any other sport. In fact for most surfers, there ISN'T any other sports lol

The debut of ski-cross was awesome to watch. It's tough enough with one board..now add two, smaller, thinner boards under each racer and IMHO there will be a ton more wipeouts lol It's very addicting though, like the speed skating events with Apollo..they put me on the edge of my seat, talking to the television and biting my fingernails lol

Really? Wow.

My last post, second word should be "you're". I feel like a seven year old when I get things like that wrong!

Anyways, ski cross IS great! Wipe outs are the best part of any sport event, (unless it involves your country or an injury of some sort). I also loved seeing ski aerials today! So. Much. Air time! It's unbelievable!

I'm going to a few short track speed skating events on Wednesday. I'll be seeing Apollo compete in the early heats of the 500m!! I'll definitely take some pictures.

We didn't do so well in the ski cross, but it was fun to watch. Anyone else waiting for Olympic Tubing?
