Hey all!
Don't have anyone to talk to so i thought i'd just let some thoughts drift out into a post. My Mum is really manic at the moment and i'm a bit worried about her, my brother has been making her life a living hell recently and it is only just beginning to get sorted. I know she isn't sleeping very well and that she is really wound up and emotional. She keeps talking about moving away to get away from it all, but that really isn't an option for her. I know she wants to go into hospital as well but surely that will only make things worse. I don't know how to help her out because i find it hard to deal with her illness, when i am face to face with her. What can i do?
On top of that i'm thinking about seeing a councellor, unfortunelty it won't be my first time. I have had 6 in the last 10yrs and it took me ages to trust my last one, this time it will be a college councellor, do you think he/she will be any good?
Sorry to rant guys just needed to get things off my chest.

no problem lauz ma, this is a good place to talk about stuff
i've heard good things about college counselors. everyone is different, of course, but a lot of folks on here have done that.
sounds like a good idea. when you are a main source of support for someone else, you must take good care of yourself too.

Lauz ma I'm sorry to hear that you mom and yourself are going through this. I wish I had some advise or help for you. All I can say is hang in there and keep an eye on her. *hugs* And good on you for taking care of yourself too!

I know what you mean about college counsellors. I went to one when I was at college (that's 'colege' in the English sense of the word - the equivalent of senior high school) and I felt like we weren't getting anywhere because he let me talk so much, because given the opportunity to talk I veered into trivia and anecdotes rather than myself.
