My favourite music video of all time would surely be "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam.

I love this video because...
a) I love animation at all
b) I love the song
c) I love what Pearl Jam generally creates
d) the animation itself is pretty impressive
e) just look at what the video is about! The worst side of life especially of men during all periods of time. A topic like this never gets boring.
It's shocking, impressive and just too pretty to look away even though it has an ugly topic. Thumbs up!

Yes, it sounded weird but I guess everyone knows what I mean.
And to be honest: if I was man maybe I would be (at least a little) bored, too.

going on that's kind of a cool nod to the man in black. They're doing an 'evolving video' of a song of his where you can select a frame in the video, draw on it ( right there on the site ), and then submit it to be included in the video. Now, you can't just draw a smiley face and it be included, because it does go before a kind of 'board'.
Before you can submit it, you do have to register because I think they contact you if you they choose one of your frames. But you can draw first, then register, which was a fantastic example of a really good website design process ( pre-planning emphasized ).

I'm pretty sure they did a show together, don't recall where though. Dr John is amazing, last year I was lucky enough to see him do Tipitina live at the House of Blues in New Orleans.

Dir en Grey - Ain't afraid to die. Such a beautiful song, dedicated to a fellow J-Rock artist called Hide. This video is amazing, really tells a story and sends shivers down your spine.
Die en Grey have got so many amazing videos, I wanted to post more but they are a J-Rock band and unfortunately the majority of the artistic/visually interesting ones have very adult themes so wasn't sure if it would be appropriate to link to them.
