"...in my red speedos and hockey mask..."..that one got me laughing uncontrollably...white & nerdy rocks too and I found the inclusion of Donny Osmond as a dancer in the video a great comic touch...donny pulled it off well... Yeah, marz...I think folks like that just lend credibility to their critics...what was that about a rich man and the kingdom of heaven? something about camels and needle eyes not quite fitting lol sorry to interrupt the music with that though...let me do some penance here... LOVE the Zeppelin cover!!! Rare is the cover song that does justice to the original! This is I think my favorite cover. oops, someone punish me as i've broken my own rule again...sorry.. backstory in case necessary break glass... the kinks did a terrific album once called Muswell Hillbillies....one song on it is Demon Alcohol which is spectacular, though not in a BIG RAWK way...so i was really excited to see that Zen had done a live cover of the song and don't know if it has been or not...i'm not pushing this particular band except that i'm a little tired of always swimming through the hipster glut...there's no guarantee of getting or keeping an audience if you're not 'on trend' with current sounds so i have a soft spot for anyone who does their own thing anyway...strange thing about the past kind of being the point that most consistently defines real talent from contrived b.s...and if you can get a copy of Muswell Hillbillies and listen to the whole thing it more than any of their other albums proves out the genius of the Davies brothers...imo... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9SiGXRx1vs Really? My son will be 14 in March. He loves both Iron Man movies but was absolutly horrified that I knew the words to every song on the soundtrack. Until then he thought it kicked ass!! I bet you money he comes to appreciate the great qualities of cassette in the future. I've a lot of friends who are purists now who won't listen to anything but tape or vinyl and can't fathom why digital is used other than for convenience. lol I'm glad I squirreled some cassettes away too Really?
