I can't wait to see it....but alas I'll have too. Enjoy seeing 2 of the states I have lived in. And one where I see my cancer specialist.

I used to be EternalStudent on these forums until the switch over. So don't get excited..I'm not someone new and exciting. I'm just me :P

The hair! The lovely floppy hair!!! Aw. That child was worrying =P.

Another great episode of Fry in America, it's so interesting the stories that can be found all along his journey. I thought the look at the 'body farm' was particularly moving, I thought Mr Fry's composure throughout was excellent, I think I'd probably have crumbled there and then. Lol at the dancing - wherever he goes, he seems to meet dancing people, and bless him for trying at the back there. I loved his comments on the 'beautiful people' of Miama - that those with beauty conversely seem to make themselves the ugliest of all.

Continuing with the very fashionable scarves I see, like it, like it. Well done and thank you, Mr Fry.

I thought of not reading this because I havent watched the programme yet, but then I remembered I actually read everything about this episode already. So I'm "spoiled" anyway.

I, like monochromeprincess, am loving the scarves.
I also agree about the 'body farm', he was really good in that part. I don't think I could do that at all without absolutely losing the ability to speak properly through shock.

The mining bit was really good as well. It looks terrifying, the miners are incredibly brave to go down there day after day. I did feel sorry for Mr. Fry though being that tall in such a tiny space.

Whilst I was watching it I was trying to make a mental not of all the brilliant moments but seem to have now completely forgotten them all!

I loved everything about Kentucky, it was just really ace in so many ways. I love how visibly thrilled he was by the way the auctioneers spoke. The balloon bit was excellent, was actually hysterically laughing when the man told him not to 'lean too far' out and when he was talking about the squirrel.
The Bourbon tour was... just fabulous really, and the horse and his attempted dancing (which I thought was actually rather good - better than my dancing at least)... for someone who hates both singing and dancing, he somehow manages to get into more singing and dancing situations than most.

It must be said though that one of my favourite bits overall was when he was listening to the music in the old school (the people playing were very talented) just after having his hair cut and there was one shot of it all hanging straight down his forehead, all combed, and the very next shot was from exactly the same angle but showed his hair all swooshed to one side as he must have pushed it across that way. Just a silly moment but it made me smile.

Oh, and his reaction to seeing the Kentucky tattoo haha.

The College Football bit was amazing too, have never seen anything like it, incredible! (I feel that the whole program has turned me into a bit of a fangirl-y mess. It was just amazing really and my use of exclamation marks is now approaching the slightly ridiculous stage...)

I'll stop rambling on now - just wanted to say thank you to Stephen Fry for making such a lovely, informative and fun program.

Myself and my brother would be overwhelmingly grateful if anybody could tell us what the music was that played during the scene in tonights episode when Stephen visited the plantation for Thanksgiving. It's a slow piano piece, and we are convinced we have heard it in a film, but are being driven slowly mad not being able to place it. Help Please.

Loved this Episode.

Fascinating look at American life, the Body Farm was extraordinary and Stephen summed up most peoples reactions well.

Had to laugh at the Bourbon Distillery he got more pissed and rosey cheeked by the glass.

I am loving this series.

One thing it's useful for is helping with murder cases - you can tell how long a body has been in a place for example.

That dustbin of human soup had me gagging.

That would be me.

they put the bodies in different situations/conditions, they can then test for bugs, decomposition etc.
like gadgetgeekgirl said its esp helpfull in murder cases
